Gerberas! Farmers West specializes in beautiful Gerbera Daisies. We grow them here in optimal conditions. The California sunshine brings out the most vigorous and attention-grabbing colors in them. Coming from Holland as tiny little plants grown in laboratory test tubes, our Gerberas are flown to California.
Once our tiny plants have arrived, they are potted and grown into larger flower producing plants, which will grow and bloom for an average of two years. After this two year period, we will replace them with new varieties. After picking these wonderful beauties, they are placed in a RVB solution. Since the biggest Gerbera killer is bacteria, placing them in a solution and keeping them in less than 4 inches of water will enhance the life of cut Gerbera stems.
